Giorgio Armani, 91, dies: the designer who rewrote power dressing and built a $10bn empire
Giorgio Armani has died at 91 in Milan, the Armani Group said, ending a five-decade run that reshaped modern style. The Italian designer popularized the relaxed suit, dressed Hollywood, and turned his name into a $10 billion lifestyle empire. He missed Milan Fashion Week in June for the first time in 50 years amid health problems. A public memorial will be held Sept 6–7 at the Armani Teatro.
